Our Story
Puffin Digital is a South Devon design consultancy specialising in graphic design, logos, brand creation, web design and digital marketing. We are a husband and wife team – Tessa, the graphic designer – and Mark, the digital marketing and production expert. Jess – our dog – is our de-stresser, making sure we go for long walks in the beautiful countryside surrounding Totnes.
We moved from London– where we both had long careers in design and marketing – to South Devon 6 years ago. We had done enough stressful journeys to and from work to last a lifetime, and decided to look for an alternative way of life in Devon. After a couple of years of ‘shall we – shan’t we’ we finally upped sticks and relocated to Puffin Cottage, Dartmouth (hence the name of our company). We have since moved up river to the quirky town of Totnes to be nearer major transport links.
Our Experience and Skills
We have over 20 years of working with international publishing houses and have worked in all areas of design from brand creation, books, magazines, merchandise, packaging, advertising, POS, digital design, print and web design. Whether you need design for a new logo, brochure, website or complete brand identity, we can make it happen.
At Puffin Digital we like to get to know our clients, taking the time to listen and really understand their requirements, aspirations and expectations. We like to take a collaborative approach to create quality, bespoke designs, that meet the clients exact needs.
We work closely with other creatives in the industry – photographers, illustrators and 3D modellers – so whatever your project requires, we can deliver. If you need us to handle your print – we can do that too, using an excellent, affordable printer whom we have worked with for many years.
The Team
Tessa studied illustration and graphic design at art college and started her career as an illustrator on titles published by Heinemann Educational, Wayland and Hodder Children’s Books. She has art directed and designed several award winning magazine titles.
Mark co-founded a social enterprise providing ethical-eco merchandise, e-commerce, marketing and PR solutions to global non-profit organisations, which was a finalist as Most Innovative Eco-Business in the Digital Entrepreneur Awards, 2012.
She loves the beautiful walks around the South Hams and is persistent in reminding us to take regular ‘screen breaks’, although these reminders do have an ulterior motive – more walks or time for another game of fetch!
