3D CREATE AND PRINT
art direction | magazine design | marketing materials
The brief was to design a magazine to accompany build-up 3D Printer. The 24 page magazine had to have a fresh and modern design style, with each of the 5 sections dealing with a different aspect of 3D print, from editorial pages to software tutorials, all very different styles but still retaining a cohesive look. Some of the sections have a distinctly ‘techie’ feel while others have a more glossy, magazine approach.
Photography was a very important component, as well as 3D modelling, which was needed to create visuals of prototypes not yet printed.
The magazine was developed alongside the 3D Printer (designed by Sebastian Conran). As the printer was a prototype it was constantly changing, consequently the magazine and marketing materials had to adapt and change with each stage of its development.
