We were commissioned to design an 84 page tourist guide/brochure for the Dartmouth Steam Railway and Riverboat Company, one of the most important tourist attractions in South Devon. The company runs steam train trips on the heritage train line between Paignton and Kingswear, and riverboat trips along the beautiful coastline and up and down the scenic River Dart.

The tourist guide had been in publication for some years and the client decided that it was in need of an update and redesign. We chose a bright, fresh colour palette featuring sky and sea blues alongside lime greens that are so prominent in the landscape of South Devon. The front cover logo design has a cheerful, holiday feel featuring a bright red banner to attract the reader.

Beautiful photography was a key component to draw tourists in, making them visually aware of the wonderful trips the company provides. We were also aware that clear info graphics and signposting of the services and timetables were vital in providing the public with all the necessary information about trips and excursions.
